⚠ Reminder: ChatGPT is a productivity helper, not a decision-maker. Always review output for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before sharing or acting on it. Do not paste sensitive PII or confidential data into any AI tool.
Enterprise data protection: ChatGPT Enterprise does not use your prompts or data to train OpenAI's models. Your content stays within the enterprise security boundary and is not shared externally.
SSO / MFA required: Access is granted through Single Sign-On (SSO) with multi-factor authentication (MFA). Use your enterprise credentials to sign in. Do not create a personal OpenAI account for pilot access.

Getting Started — Pilot Access

Enterprise pilot  ·  SSO / MFA login required  ·  Browser-based

How to sign in

  1. Open the ChatGPT Enterprise access link provided to you
  2. Click "Sign in with SSO" — do not create a personal OpenAI account
  3. Enter your enterprise email address when prompted
  4. Complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) through your standard MFA method
  5. You will land on the ChatGPT Enterprise workspace — your session is tied to your enterprise identity
  6. Select a GPT-4o conversation to get started — this is the full-capability model

What you have access to

  • Unlimited GPT-4o — no usage caps during the pilot
  • Advanced Data Analysis — upload files and run data analysis directly in the chat
  • File uploads — upload PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, images, and code files
  • Custom GPTs — pre-configured AI assistants built for specific tasks (if made available to the pilot)
  • Longer context window — hold much more content in a single conversation than the free tier

Pilot ground rules

  • Always sign in through SSO — never share login credentials or let others use your session
  • Do not upload documents classified above the approved data sensitivity level for this tool
  • Do not paste PII (names, SSNs, addresses, personnel data) into any AI tool
  • Output is a starting point — you are responsible for reviewing and approving anything you share or act on
  • If you encounter unexpected behavior, an error, or a security concern, report it promptly
  • Pilot feedback is encouraged — your input helps inform decisions about the program

Session tips

  • ChatGPT remembers the full conversation — keep related tasks in one thread for better context
  • Start a new conversation when switching to an unrelated topic
  • Name your conversations for easy retrieval later
  • Use the "Regenerate" option if output misses the mark — add one more constraint to guide it

Fast Tips & Tricks

Practical habits that get better results from ChatGPT Enterprise.

Give it a role
Start with "Act as a [role]" to set context. "Act as a technical writer" or "Act as a project manager reviewing this plan" produces sharper output.
Upload files directly
Drag a PDF, Word doc, or spreadsheet into the chat window. ChatGPT reads the file and answers questions about it — no copy/paste needed.
Iterate in one thread
Keep adding to the same conversation for richer output. Each follow-up has full context of the thread — use it to refine, expand, or change direction.
Challenge your own work
Paste your draft and ask ChatGPT to find weaknesses, poke holes, or play devil's advocate. It's excellent for stress-testing plans before a meeting.
Specify the format
Tell ChatGPT exactly what format you need: "bullet points," "numbered steps," "table," "two paragraphs max." Precise format instructions save editing time.
Build a prompt library
Save prompts that work well in a notes doc or OneNote. Reuse and refine them for recurring tasks. A good prompt once = a good prompt every time.

Top 10 How-Tos

All How-Tos work by typing, pasting, or uploading content directly into the ChatGPT conversation.

01
Draft an email from context
Paste the background situation or prior email thread and ask ChatGPT to write a professional reply.
"Draft a professional email to [audience] confirming [topic]. Keep it concise with a clear next step. Tone: formal but approachable."
02
Summarize a document
Upload a PDF or paste text → get a summary with key points and action items in under 30 seconds.
"Summarize this document. Give me: 3-sentence overview, key decisions or findings, and any action items listed. [upload or paste]"
03
Generate a PowerPoint outline with speaker notes
Get a complete slide structure and speaker notes to paste directly into PowerPoint.
"Create a 6-slide outline about [topic] for [audience]. Include a title slide, agenda, 3 content slides, and a next steps slide. Add speaker notes for each."
04
Analyze data from Excel
Paste data rows or upload a spreadsheet and get a plain-language analysis of trends, outliers, and what the numbers mean.
"Analyze this data and explain the top 3 trends in plain language. Flag anything unusual or worth investigating. [paste data or upload file]"
05
Write an Excel formula from plain English
Describe what you need → ChatGPT writes the formula and explains each part so you understand it.
"Write an Excel formula that calculates the percentage change between column B and column C, and highlights values over 20%. Explain what each part does."
06
Create a meeting agenda
Describe the meeting goal, attendees, and time available → get a structured agenda ready to paste into Teams or Outlook.
"Create a detailed agenda for a [30/60]-minute [meeting type] with [audience]. Include time slots, discussion items, and a decisions-needed section."
07
Ask questions about an uploaded document
Upload a policy, contract, report, or manual → ask specific questions and get answers grounded in the document.
"Based on this document, what are the key requirements for [topic]? List any deadlines, responsible parties, and dependencies. [upload file]"
08
Rewrite content for a different audience
Paste a section from a technical document and ask ChatGPT to rewrite it for a non-technical audience without losing the meaning.
"Rewrite this text for a non-technical audience. Use plain language, avoid jargon, and keep all key facts. Max 3 short paragraphs. [paste text]"
09
Generate a checklist or SOP
Describe a process and get a formatted, numbered SOP or checklist ready to paste into Word or a SharePoint page.
"Create a step-by-step SOP checklist for [process description]. Format: numbered steps, responsible party, any dependencies noted."
10
Brainstorm and stress-test an idea
Describe a plan or proposal → ask ChatGPT to identify risks, gaps, or alternative approaches before you present it.
"Review this plan and act as a skeptical stakeholder. Identify the 3 biggest risks, any gaps in logic, and suggest one alternative approach. [paste plan]"

Limits & Service Behavior

ChatGPT Enterprise is designed for professional use and has guardrails and limits that affect how it behaves.

  • No external connections ChatGPT Enterprise in this pilot does not connect to Outlook, SharePoint, or OneDrive. Bring content in by typing, pasting, or uploading files directly.
  • File size limits Individual file uploads have a size limit. For very large documents, paste the most relevant sections as text instead.
  • Rate limits Very long or complex prompts may time out or slow down. Break large tasks into smaller, focused requests.
  • Accuracy ChatGPT can make factual errors, especially with numbers, names, dates, and recent events. Always verify critical details before using output.
  • Your data stays private ChatGPT Enterprise does not use your conversations to train OpenAI's models. Your content is kept within the enterprise security boundary.
  • Knowledge cutoff ChatGPT's training data has a cutoff date. For current events or live data, verify with authoritative sources.

Good habits

  • Give ChatGPT a role and a clear goal — it performs significantly better with specific instructions.
  • Always review numbers, names, dates, and any factual claim before sharing output externally.
  • Use ChatGPT to draft, not to finalize — you own the quality of what gets sent or published.
  • Do not paste PII or confidential data. Keep sensitive content within systems already approved for that data.
  • Build a personal prompt library — save prompts that work well and reuse them for recurring tasks.
  • When output misses the mark, add one more constraint: audience, format, length, or a "do not include" instruction.
  • For document-grounded Q&A, upload the file directly — ChatGPT reads it and answers from it, reducing guesswork.
